What if I told you, together we can make gorgeous star blocks with the look of foundation paper piecing while actually being traditionally pieced?
My new Star Riot Quilt is just that. A complicated looking star with outbursts of spiky points that is all traditionally done with a pen, ruler, and some trimming. I LOVE fancy things. I love trying new things too. I was determined to make this block work for all quilters, not just those who enjoy FPP. If you missed my earlier post this week here is a quick break down of how the points are made. I promise you can do it!

As always, this block is customizable with a center star or a square of your favorite fabric. I like to leave options available for everyone. I know after making tiny stars it was nice to have one that was a bit more plain. I plan to make an all blue quilt with my fat quarter bundle mixing up the stars as I go.
I made a few mock-ups and based on yesterday’s post, I need to really commit and try a dark background for my next one. Or maybe my next quilt pattern. Or maybe next year. (I really am scared of the dark background can you tell?)

This might be my new favorite star. It is so sassy and swoon worthy. If you want to give Star Riot a try my shop is on sale through Sunday and the pattern is ready for immediate download so you could get to sewing this weekend!
I am always happy to answer any questions about Star Riot, any of my other patterns, quilting in general or the weather. Send me an email, DM, carrier pigeon, respond to this post, whatever you like and let’s chat! I hope you all have the most awesome day and don’t stop being beautiful.
Very cool! Do you have wholesale options for shops that would like to carry your products?
This is beautiful! I love a good star!🩵
